Meet Joe Public

Joe Public Relations is a New Zealand PR agency run by
Lisa Joe. While Lisa leads every project, when a campaign requires many hands she is able to draw from the colossal talents of her trusted team of PR freelancers.

Lisa has over twenty years PR experience in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.  Before Joe Public, she worked in Auckland for international PR agencies, Ogilvy & Mather and Hill & Knowlton, specialising in FMCG.  She transferred to Hill & Knowlton’s London office in 1999 to work in the agency’s ethical healthcare division.  The following year, she began freelancing to leading London PR agencies, where she was never a day out of work, amassing considerable consumer media relations experience on blue chip brands like Mercedes Benz, Bacardi Martini, British Army, Bass Brewers and Reckitt & Colman.​

On the client side, Lisa has acted as Communications Manager for the National Heart Foundation of New Zealand and as the PR Manager for Waterstones, the British book retail chain.



She graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Communication Studies. Lisa (a cook) is married to Justin (a surfer) and they are raising daughters Lucy (a storyteller) and Coco (a delight).
